“I just wanted something a bit different…” whenever a bride says this after booking one of our 1960’s Jaguars I smile as it is exactly why we started AJE Classics.
It’s always been a bone of contention & a bit of a joke in our house whenever we have decorated or needed to buy something I have always found it so frustrating when faced with the same old thing when I just wanted ‘something a bit different’. Of course there is nothing wrong with traditional but in this day & age it’s all about choice so when Andrew finally turned his 30 year car passion into a business AJE Classic Restorations it just seemed the natural step to offer these beautiful cars to bride & grooms on their special day.
Of course because of my love of colour & design we couldn’t just have any cars, they needed to be visually beautiful and the right colour, they needed to be different to what everyone else locally was offering. So the process of finding the perfect car started & very quickly it became clear the 1960s Jaguars fitted the bill. So in May 2010 ‘AJE Classics’ was born with an iconic 1963 Mk 2 Jaguar in stunning opalescent pale blue. We were also fortunate to be able to also use a good friend’s British Racing Green Mk 2 Jaguar, a real classic.
Fast forward to 2014 & after a full (& lengthy restoration!) by Andrew we can now, in addition to the pale blue Mk 2, offer an 1966 S type Jaguar, in striking metallic pale green.
In addition to weddings we are also happy to supply our Jaguars for film, TV and photo shoots.
We are located just off J18 of the M4 offering a professional, relaxed and friendly service.
